How it works

Eligibility

Answer four short questions, privately.

ii.

Counselling and consent

A counsellor explains every step. You sign only when you are sure.

iii.

Screening tests

Medical tests by the bank, as the Act requires.

iv.

Your cycle

Hormone injections for about 10 to 12 days, then a short egg collection at our Level 2 ART clinic.

v.

Recovery and follow up

Most donors return to normal activity the next day. Your coordinator stays in touch.

Risks in plain words

The main risk is OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome). Doctors use controlled stimulation and watch you closely to lower it. Mild bloating or cramps can last a few days.

Reimbursed, no gain

Egg donation for commercial gain is not allowed. Your documented expenses for travel, food, stay and loss of employment are reimbursed, with no monetary gain.

Your insurance

12 months of cover

The intended parents buy 12 months of insurance for you, covering complications of egg retrieval.

Your privacy

Kept confidential

Your identity is kept confidential. The bank records your name, Aadhaar and address, and you sign a written confidentiality undertaking.

Questions donors ask

No. The law sets age, not marital status. Unmarried and child free women aged 23 to 35 may donate.

No. Parents see a profile of traits and medical history, never your name, contact details or photos (s.21(e)).
