Egg Donation Process

The egg donation process is a complex and involved procedure that can take several months to complete. It typically involves the following steps:

History Taking

We will take a detailed history of your medical and family history to determine your eligibility for egg donation.

Testing & Evaluation

You will undergo a series of tests, including blood tests, ultrasound, and psychological evaluation, to assess your health and ensure that you are a good candidate for egg donation.

Counselling

You will meet with a fertility doctor and psychologist to discuss the egg donation process and answer any questions you may have.

Matching

Once you have been cleared for egg donation, you will be matched with a couple who is seeking to have a child.

Stimulation

You will take fertility drugs to stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple eggs. This will typically take about 10-11 days.

Egg Pick Up

You will undergo an egg retrieval procedure, in which the eggs are removed from your ovaries under anaesthesia. This procedure typically takes about 30 minutes.

Recovery

You will need to rest for a few days after the egg retrieval procedure.

Legal and Ethical Considerations

Though legally you may donate for known people, we suggest considering the legal and emotional hassles of seeing the child growing up along with.

As a Bank, we ensure all legal and ethical guidelines are followed. We aim to provide you peace of mind, and safeguard your legal rights.

Couple has to buy you medical insurance and provide an affidavit to ensure that in case of any complication your health will be taken care of.

As a donor you shall relinquish all parental rights over the child or children which may be born from your gametes.

At the same time, the parents guarantee that they will take all parental rights over the child, irrespective of the outcome of the procedure.
